About the project
The new building was directly connected to the 1997 erected building of the clinical research centre. This U-shaped expansion had already initially been planned in the urban concept and increases the surface from 1,800 m² to 4,335 m² research space for the university and the university hospital Ulm.
Once completed, the building will serve as a center for biomedical research, housing the following specialties: The life science centre of the university together with a new pharmaceutical biotechnology centre and a biomedical translation centre. Further rooms include facilities for combined musculoskeletal-research and animal research.
