The new Institute of the Max-Planck-Gesellschaft in Magdeburg/Germany
In 1996, the senate of the German Max-Planck-Gesellschaft decided to establish
a new Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems. Prof. Dr.-Ing.
Dr. h. c. mult. E. D. Gilles was called to the chair of foundation director.
The new institute is the first research institution of the Max-Planck-Gesellschaft
concerned with Engineering Science. The institute is located in Magdeburg,
state capital of Sachsen-Anhalt in the east of Germany.
